Internationally acclaimed artist and DJ Stimulus joins forces with genre-blending London producer K, LE MAESTRO, for a second single, “sEMi,” a soul-baring, genre-defying new offering. With its mellow groove and introspective tone, “sEMi” flips the concept of “keeping it 100” by exploring the beauty and truth in being semi—not quite perfect, and proud of it.

“sEMi” follows on previously released single “woKe” and will be released on Stimulus’ upcoming second album, HERE, due out this fall.

Stimulus says of the song:

“Keeping things ONE HUNDRED is the new keeping it real. One hundred is also a popular emoji representing 100 percent authenticity and 100 percent certainty. In the song, I admit all of the ways in which I am not 100 percent.”

“sEMi” is about inner struggle, social alienation, and the pursuit of identity. HERE addresses themes such as growth, challenges, and self-reflection. Recorded and mixed by producer and jazz drummer Dhanya Langer, the album promises a blend of electronic music with jazz and hip-hop.

Along with the upcoming release, Stimulus will debut a short film associated with the music, which has already won seven awards at film festivals around Europe.
