Pinkshift have announced their highly anticipated new album Earthkeeper, set for release on August 29th, 2025 via Hopeless Records. Alongside the announcement, the Maryland trio have shared their brand-new single “Anita Ride,” accompanied by an official music video.

The record follows the band’s acclaimed 2022 debut Love Me Forever and marks a bold new chapter in Pinkshift’s evolution. Watch the video for the new single here:

Of the new single, singer Ashrita Kumar shares,

“‘Anita Ride’ was a way for me to release my frustrations and remind myself to set boundaries and take care of my mental health. It’s about giving yourself permission to share your burdens, to trust your community, and to embrace chaos and change. This song felt like shedding our old skin—it’s the first track where all three of us sing together, intentionally united.”

The album was born from an almost spiritual moment. While traveling between shows in 2023, the band discovered a fallen redwood tree and lay on its trunk, staring at the canopy above. That experience became the spark for Earthkeeper, a record that explores grief, purpose, and renewal.

Detailing the album, Kumar explains:

“It’s a patchwork of anxiety, angst, grief, and hope. Those redwood trees told me, ‘You matter and you belong here.’ That’s what this album is about—belonging, connection, and giving a fuck about yourself and the world around you.”

I have an unhealthy obsession with bad horror movies, the song Wanted Dead Or Alive and crap British game shows. I do this not because of the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle it affords me but more because it gives me an excuse to listen to bands that sound like hippos mating.
