Ocean Of Another Premiere New EP ‘Loneliness Of My Kin’

Arguably, it’s never been harder to stand out and find a place of belonging in the world, and Ocean Of Another’s new EP Loneliness of My Kin is an acknowledgement of that challenge. Clocking in at just under 20 minutes, the band doesn’t need an hour to say something meaningful.

The EP is an account of the conflict that lies between the desire for love and acceptance, and the weight of past traumas in a world overcome by consumerism. It is consumerism that has mangled our morality and our value system. As we seek out cheap thrills and falter under the weight of complacency, how do we find a place of belonging? What does it mean to be human anymore? With the burden of capitalism and the enormous constraints of current world issues, reality is a harsh place to come to terms with.

It is a beacon of light in the dark waters of war, climate change and personal traumas. It is a way to connect and heal. We invite you to share our deepest wounds with us, to rage at the soul sucking system that masks itself as our savior, to explore the depths of love and healing. We hope it gives you the same sense of belonging it did to us so that we can all become a drop in the Ocean Of Another.”

Hailing from Croatia, Ocean Of Another has been around now for just over three years. Loneliness of My Kin is a representation of the core characteristics of the band. They use this music as an outlet to explore the harsh realities of humanity. They seek out a higher truth of what it means to be human and the mental toll that that takes. Some members of the band also belong to Manntra, one of Croatia’s most significant heavy metal acts. Some also play in Pale Origins, Zenoth, Ochi, and Grapevine Babies. With that pedigree, you know that Ocean of Another is not just some group of newbies and posers. They’ve got experience on their side and something worthwhile to say.
