Magenta Moon Encourages You to Take a Step Back With the Premiere of “You Like Me”

There are a lot of old-school values in Magenta Moon’s brand new single “You Like Me.” It was composed as a traditional song and it expounds the importance of create art for art’s sake. “We read it on a fortune cookie once: ‘Your dreams are never silly; rely on them to guide you.’ The things you really love doing, that you can’t help doing, that make you who you are, are worth doing even when there’s no recognition or support. We wrote this song as a reminder that even in our darkest moments, we still have power and purpose. It’s ok to get bummed out, just don’t let it keep you from doing what you truly love.”

Singer and bassist Elaina Whitesell and singer and guitarist Joey Petrarca are the brainchild behind Magenta Moon. They concoct an original indie rock sound that is vintage in nature.
