James Blonde

Don’t let the name fool you. James Blonde isn’t a singular person, instead they are an alternative rock trio from Niagara Falls, Ontario. Their self-titled debut album was received well, with their single “Heartbreak” being featured on major Spotify playlists, played globally across Starbucks stores and cracked over 300,000 listens on Spotify. The band hasn’t showed any signs of slowing down, their 2023 single “FOMO” was played all over Canadian rock radio and peaked at #29 on Canadian Active Rock Radio. James Blonde is a group you’re going to regret missing if you don’t make their set.

Permilla

Permilla originally started off as JIN the Band, performing cover songs, until June 2024 where they announced their new project titled Permilla. Same group members, same musical inspirations, but instead of cover songs Permilla is focused on original music and shows. Since their formation the band has released 5 singles on streaming platforms, all of which performing well with streams ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 on Spotify alone. If you’re looking for an energetic set of rock & roll and blues, make sure you don’t miss Permilla when they play September 5th, conveniently they are after James Blonde, so you can catch both sets!

Spencer Burton

Spencer Burton is one of the major reasons country music in Niagara is so popular. Starting off under the name Grey Kingdom, Burton released his first two albums in 2011 and 2012, before switching to his name and releasing Don’t Let The World See Your Love in 2014, a beautifully crafted 11 track album that gave us the foundation of more to come. Unexpectedly, in 2019 Spencer Burton released a children’s album titled Mountain Man, which received a nomination for Best Children’s Album at the 16th Canadian Folk Music Awards. Since then he has released two albums, Coyote in 2021 featuring his largest track “Nothing’s Changed” currently with 790,000 streams on Spotify and his most recent release North Wind. Spencer Burton is a poetic songwriter with a beautiful voice, who will have you hypnotized by the messages in his songs when he plays.

Lucas Mason

Lucas Mason may be the youngest artist on this list, but his list of achievements would make you believe otherwise. Mason first made headlines when he was brought on stage by Zach Bryan to sing “Heading South.” This clip quickly went viral and has amassed tens of millions of views across all platforms, you couldn’t find a negative comment to this video which led Mason to capitalize and release his first single Jamie in June 2024. In less than a year Mason has constructed an impressive resume, playing at The Niagara Wine Festival, Hamilton Tiger Cats Halftime Show, Horseshoe Tavern, Cicada Festival, North of Nowhere Festival and now the Misty City Music Festival. While in the midst of performing festival to festival, Mason found time to release his debut EP “Almost 18” on January 5th. Mason is destined to be a star and now is the perfect time to jump on the fan train. You can catch him as the first act on September 6th.
