DRAIN Releasing New Album ‘…Is Your Friend’ in November; Lead Single Shared
Drain’s third album ‘…Is Your Friend’ drops on November 7th, 2025. Get a taste with the new music video for “Nights Like These.”
Santa Cruz hardcore outfit DRAIN have revealed that their highly anticipated new album, …Is Your Friend, is scheduled for release on November 7th, 2025, via Epitaph Records. The album is their follow-up to 2023’s Living Proof, a record that propelled the band into the global spotlight. Over the past year, Drain has toured extensively, cementing their reputation as one of the most electrifying live acts in the scene.
To coincide with the news, the band have dropped the lead single “Nights Like These” a track which Drain say encapsulates the energy and spirit of the record.
The accompanying music video for “Nights Like These,” directed by Derek Rathbun, blends footage of Drain’s intense live shows with a playful twist. The video imagines the band’s future, with their fathers and uncle stepping in as stunt doubles, showcasing the same high-octane energy in a hilarious, time-traveling moment.
Vocalist Sammy Ciaramitaro says of the single:
“Over the last decade of doing DRAIN, I’ve been able to see the world, meet incredible people, experience all sorts of incredible highs and even a couple of lows – but most importantly, I got to do all of those things with my best friends. No matter how much we accomplish and how big we grow – we are still just a couple of friends who get to play music together, make memories all over the world, and we are SO aware of how lucky we are to do it. THAT is what ‘Nights Like These’ is.”
Recorded live with producer Jon Markson (The Story So Far, Drug Church), …Is Your Friend captures the band’s raw, unfiltered sound aiming to push the crowd into new levels of chaos with an album full of the heaviest mosh parts, the catchiest choruses, the tastiest thrash riffs, and the most scream-able lyrics Drain have ever written.
