Bloodstock Announces First Metal 2 The Masses Winners for Timothy Taylor New Blood Stage

With just 9 weeks to go until the heavy metal masses return to Catton Hall for Bloodstock Open Air 2025 organisers have revealed the first batch of winners from this year’s Metal 2 The Masses finals that have been taking place across the country, earning spots on the Timothy Taylor New Blood Stage.

Friday

1. If It Bleeds (Belfast Winner)

Coming out on top in Northern Ireland, Belfast winners If It Bleeds are a five-peice who will be stamping their mark on the New Blood stage with a hefty dose of hardcore-infused metal.

2. ThunarWülf (Sheffield Winner)

Merauding down from Yorkshire, the Sheffield winners will be bringing a dose of folk and myth inspired melody to the New Blood Stage on the Friday.

3. Vmbra (Manchester Winner)

Vmbra put a fresh twist on the progressive rock/metal hybrid and you can see what that is all about when they take to the New Blood Stage having come out on top at their Manchester final.

4. Compounds (Southampton Winner)

Blasting into Bloodstock, the Southampton winners will be delivering the Bloodstock masses a short, sharp, punked-up melodic hardcore shock on Friday.

5. Baelfýr (Leicester Winner)

Finally on the Friday, what would Bloodstock be without a dose of blackened death metal. This time it comes from Leicester with the winners promising to an extra bite to their heaviness.

Saturday

6. Nothing Speaks (Edinburgh Winner)

Bringing gritty energy to the day’s proceedings, the Scottish winners are a young hard rock outfit who blend grunge and groove with nods to classic influences like Alice In Chains. What’s not to like about that?

Sunday

7. Theocracide (Leeds Winner)

Balls-to-the-wall thrash now from our Leeds winners. Pack in a hefty dose of crossover/hardcore intensity and these winners sound worthy of checking out for a good eardrum battering assault.

8. Speak In Whispers (Cyprus Winner)

Finally, and coming from further afield in Cyprus, Speak In Whispers arrive in the UK to showcase their intricate progressive groove metal which comes with a reputation for high energy performances.
