‘Tunezies Volume 1’ to be Released on August 29th

Palter Trail Music is very happy to announce that Tunezies Volume 1 will be released on August 29th, 2025. The brainchild of singer/songwriter Jesse Palter, Tunezies combines original songs, a dynamic curriculum, high-energy performances, immersive experiences, and educational fun to ignite a lifelong love of music in hearts of all ages.

With a mission to create and grow a magical world of music that inspires, engages, and educates, the album was produced by and features Jon Cowherd (Brian Blade, Bill Frisell) leading a band comprised of Roland Guerin (Allen Toussaint, Blind Boys of Alabama), Brian Seeger (Chair of American Jazz Studies at Univ. of New Orleans), Herlin Riley (Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra), Matt Chamberlain (David Bowie, Elton John, etc), and Joel Frahm (Dianne Schuur, Jane Monheit).

Designed for the modern family, Tunezies Volume 1 is the first release in an original early music education curriculum that nurtures not only musical skills but also creativity, emotional awareness, and self-expression.

Crafted by Jesse Palter — a seasoned musician and mother with a deep understanding of both songwriting and parenthood — each song is thoughtfully designed to foster musical growth and emotional development. The album introduces young listeners to essential musical concepts such as beat, rhythm, tempo, dynamics, melody, and harmonic foundations, all presented in a way that is both engaging and educational.

Produced by Jon Cowherd and recorded in New Orleans, Tunezies Volume 1 includes seven original tracks.

Each song exposes children to the building blocks of music while also encouraging creativity, emotional expression, and self-acceptance. Tracks like “Beat Baby” and “Snacks” are infectious bops for all ages, encouraging movement and joy, while “That’s How I Feel” provides an avenue for young listeners to understand and express their emotions.

Palter has built a whole musical universe with Tunezies; one where each song is paired with a carefully crafted animated video, jam-packed with age-appropriate visuals designed to ignite the senses. These videos are equally as educational as they are entertaining; designed to be learning tools, bringing each concept to life in a way that captures children’s imaginations while reinforcing lessons in music education throughout every song.
