Season Ammons’ Powerful New Single “The Storm”

Season Ammons’ recently released single “The Storm” is emotionally charged and a powerful listen, both musically and in message.

Starting with a duet shared between her voice and piano, the song takes shape with accompanying strings joining in before opening up fully—with the drums and full-layered vocals lifting the song to an incredibly moving sonic state.

More than just having a pretty musical character, “The Storm” tells a deep, personal story. Season wrote it after surviving an abusive relationship and hitting rock bottom. She lost her way, her sobriety, and had to start over—moving back home and figuring out who she really was. “‘The Storm’ is about surrender—not in weakness, but in acceptance. That’s where I found my strength.”

The lyrics talk about not being able to run from life’s pain—about facing it head-on and letting it wash over you. It’s about letting go, breaking down, and slowly rebuilding. In the end, it’s hopeful. It’s about finding peace after the chaos. “The Storm” is a testimony of survival, it’s a message to anyone going through a storm: You’re not alone, and you can come out the other side stronger.
