Eighteen-year-old singer-songwriter Sara Diana recently unveiled her latest single, “she lives,” a song about taking on the ups and downs of life with fearlessness. The track was lifted from her 2024 debut EP, CAN’T BE FAZED.

In 2023, Diana dropped her debut single, “pocket poetry,” followed by three singles in 2024: “CAN’T BE FAZED,” “growing pains,” and “all up in my head.”  At the end of summer 2024, she released her six-track EP, CAN’T BE FAZED. And in March of this year, Diana dropped her single, “Vegas.”

Diana’s sound amalgamates elements of indiepop, dance-pop, and pop-rock into music drenched in visceral emotions amid sumptuous atmospheric surfaces. It’s her memorable voice that sets her apart, at once evocative yet tonally nuanced with a delicious, varying range.

Opening on an emerging intro, “she lives” rolls into a dance-pop melody riding a throbbing bassline and crisp, tight percussion. Although the beat is mid-tempo, there’s a delightful pushing feel to the cadence. Light, glowing harmonies outline Diana’s rising and falling vocals, infusing the lyrics with luscious, shifting timbres.
