Rianne Downey Details Debut Album ‘The Consequence of Love’

Scottish singer-songwriter Rianne Downey will release her debut album, The Consequence of Love, on October 17th, 2025, through Run On Records. The announcement is accompanied by the release of the title track, available to stream now.

Downey has spent the past year building momentum with solo performances and as a touring vocalist with Paul Heaton. She recently performed a headline set at Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane and will return to Glastonbury this summer, following her Pyramid Stage appearance with Heaton in 2024.

The Consequence of Love features 10 original tracks written by Downey, with several co-written alongside longtime collaborator Nathaniel Laurence. The album was recorded at Bear Creek Studio in Seattle and produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Ryan Hadlock, known for his work with artists including Zach Bryan and Brandi Carlile.

Downey will embark on a UK and Ireland headline tour this autumn in support of the album. Several dates are already sold out.

In addition to her headline run, Downey will also appear at summer festivals and continue to support Paul Heaton and Texas on tour throughout the coming months.
