Juliet Lloyd Releases Poignant Single “Wild Again” Ahead of Debut UK Tour
Singer-songwriter Juliet Lloyd releases poignant new single “Wild Again” alongside debut UK tour announcement.

After a decade-long hiatus from music, US singer-songwriter Juliet Lloyd made a triumphant return with her 2024 album Carnival, a deeply personal record that marked a significant turning point in her career. Now, she is preparing to release a brand-new single, “Wild Again,” out today, ahead of her first-ever UK tour scheduled for July 2025.
The new single, produced by Todd Wright, takes a thematic departure from the confessional tone of ‘Carnival.’ While the album was rooted in Lloyd’s personal experiences and reflections, “Wild Again” finds its inspiration in an unexpected source – the real-life efforts to return the whale that portrayed Willy in the 1993 film Free Willy to the wild.
Check out “Wild Again” here:
Struck by a line from a podcast she listened to about the attempt, ‘train him to be wild again.,’ the lyric sparked a new direction in her songwriting.
Juliet explains:
“It’s an insane, heartbreaking story that asks all kinds of thorny questions about human responsibility and humility and what’s the “right” thing to do and is that the same as the “kind” thing to do. There was a line that one of the trainers said in the podcast, explaining that they were trying to “train him to be wild again.” The complete absurdity of that statement hit me in the moment, and I immediately started jotting down lyrical ideas…”
In conjunction with the release of the new single, Lloyd has announced details of her debut UK tour which will take her through a series of intimate venues, starting on July 1st and concluding eleven days later on July 12th.
For Lloyd, the tour represents another step forward in a career marked by evolution and reinvention. With “Wild Again,” she continues to push her creative boundaries, finding compelling narratives beyond her own life while maintaining the emotional authenticity that has defined her work.
