Indie acoustic-rock duo The Flip Phones, hailing from Arlington, VA, have released their highly anticipated EP, Spinning Adrift, now available on all streaming platforms. Blending modern and classical influences, the band delivers infectious melodies, intricate arrangements, and thought-provoking lyrics in this five-track journey through uncertainty, fate, and self-discovery.

Featuring the high-energy single “Polaris,” a soaring anthem of perseverance inspired by the North Star, Spinning Adrift explores themes of superstition (“It’s a Sign”), existential wandering (“Floating Aimlessly”), and the illusion of control (“Tumbleweed”). The EP closes with “Where the Space Falls Away,” a haunting reflection on the unknown.

Led by Lindsey Wray (keys, melodica, vocals) and Ryan Kobb (guitar, vocals), The Flip Phones craft a unique sound influenced by R.E.M., Gorillaz, and Supergrass. Their 2022 debut album, Better in the Dark, was a WAMMIE Award finalist for Best Rock Album. With support from bassist Phoenix Henkle, drummers Dylan Storie and JR Franks, and lead guitarist Wilfredo Morales, the band continues to push musical boundaries.
