Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium Unleash Metal Fury in Vancouver [Photos]
It was a hard and heavy evening when Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium visited the PNE Forum on their “The Poisoned Ascendancy Tour” with August Burns Red and Syllosis supporting.
Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium brought their double celebration tour to the PNE Forum in Vancouver last week.
After travelling all over Europe with their “The Poisoned Ascendancy Tour,” celebrating the 20th anniversary of Trivium’s Ascendancy and Bullet For My Valentine’s The Poison, the bands debuted the North America leg of the tour at a full house in Vancouver.
The British band Syllosis opened the show, and the metal heads were all ready. They started their four-song-long set with “Poison for the Lost” and closed with “Deadwood.”
August Burns Red came to the stage to System of a Down’s “Chop Suey!” and mid-song started performing it, and the fans loved it. They took a trip all over their discography and performed songs like “Paramount,” “Defender,” and “Composure,” and closed with “White Washed.”
The first headliner to hop on the stage was Bullet For My Valentine, and they opened with “Her Voice Resides.” Most of their performance was from The Poison, “10 Years Today,” “4 Words (to Choke Upon),” “All These Things I Hate (Revolve Around Me),” “Hit the Floor,” “Room 409,” “Suffocating Under Words of Sorrow (What Can I Do),” “Tears Don’t Fall,” “The Poison,” and “The End” to close their set.
The fans were euphoric, and BFMV returned to deliver a two-song encore with “Knives” and “Waking the Demon.”
Trivium came to close the show, starting with “Rain” and then “Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr.” They performed the entirety of the Ascendancy album but not by themself as the fans were singing along with them.
They closed their set with “Departure” and “Declaration” but had to return to the stage to give one more song to the fans with “In Waves.”
