In Vermont’s serene backdrop, singer-songwriter Reid Parsons has quietly crafted one of the year’s most anticipated debut albums, Back to Back, arriving on April 25th. Parsons is already drawing comparisons to artists like Anaïs Mitchell and Bonnie Raitt, yet their distinctive, reflective songwriting voice carves out an entirely new musical space. The album’s lead single, “Back to Back,” beautifully captures relationships’ quiet yet powerful dynamic, reflecting on how closeness and separation coexist.

Recorded direct-to-tape at Burlington’s iconic Tank Recording Studio under the careful guidance of engineer Ben Collette, the album resonates with warmth and authenticity. Parsons carefully constructs their songs, blending gentle rhythms with thoughtful storytelling, creating music that feels both intimate and universally relatable. The elegance of Parsons’ songwriting lies in its simplicity, a deliberate choice to allow listeners space to connect personally with each song.

Parsons’ creative approach draws deeply from their upbringing in Moretown, Vermont, a town marked by natural beauty and quiet contemplation. These elements permeate Back to Back, offering listeners a tranquil musical experience reminiscent of peaceful moments spent in nature. With each track, Parsons invites listeners into their personal reflections, capturing the emotional honesty that has quickly become their signature.

Fans will have the opportunity to experience Parsons’ heartfelt music live at their hometown show on March 28th at Shelburne Vineyard, offering a chance to celebrate this emerging artist amidst Vermont’s stunning landscapes.
