Following her sold-out UK tour, Alt-pop artist Mothica has announced that she will headline the O2 Academy, London, on June 16th, 2025 (tickets here), straight after her Download Festival debut on the weekend proceeding.
Mothica says:
“Every time I’ve played London, it has been a truly special experience. Once I found out I was coming over for Download Fest, I knew I had to make something special happen that’s a little more up close and personal. See you all so soon.”
Mothica released her third album, Kissing Death, via her own imprint, Heavy Heart Records, in partnership with Rise Records/BMG in 2024. With Kissing Death, the prolific artist dives deeper into her powerful story with an ambitious audio/visual experience. The raw and cathartic collection of songs touches upon Mothica’s personal and relatable battles with depression, addiction, and suicidal ideation. It is an immersive story across 12 tracks, with cinematic accompanying music videos.
To celebrate this, Mothica has now compiled these videos into a short film which has an added narrative and titled, Kissing Death (Visual Album). The film will premiere on YouTube on 21st March 2025.
