Fly PR Promotes Shannon McConnell to Co-Executive Director Marketing, Publicity
Fly PR has announced that Shannon McConnell is joining the organization as Co-Executive Director Marketing, Publicity.

Fly PR has named Shannon McConnell Co-Executive Director Marketing, Publicity.
Fly PR founder Ilka Erren Pardiñas says:
“Shannon is an amazingly talented publicist! And her marketing skills are massively impressive. She has great intuition and an uncanny understanding of social media platforms.”
Since joining Fly PR in early 2021, she has worked on national and international publicity campaigns for artists around the globe, including Thundermother, BillyBio (Biohazard), and Danko Jones for German metal label AFM Records, Nina Diaz (founding member of Girl in a Coma), The Oxys, Peter Laughner box set for Smog Veil Records (1991-2021), and several seasons for About…Productions. In 2024, she spearheaded the digital marketing campaign for the nascent Venice Heritage Museum.
Anthony Carfello, Manager of the Venice Heritage Museum, states:
“Without Shannon’s commitment to spreading the word about our Grand Opening last year, we wouldn’t have had the shockingly high turnout we did! Our big night was bigger than we could have imagined thanks to our partnership with Shannon and Fly PR.”
After spending her preteen and teen years touring the United States, playing guitar and synthesizers in punk bands (most recently Anti-Feds), she built a strong presence online, running unofficial social media fan accounts for her favourite artists like My Chemical Romance and Green Day. Her accounts amassed thousands of followers on platforms like Instagram and Tumblr. She later earned a B.S. in Music Technology from Indiana University Purdue University – Indianapolis. In 2021, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the music industry.
After being hired as DragonForce’s managerial assistant in late 2021, she has continuously been part of the band’s social media team. After joining their touring crew, she was promoted to merchandise and VIP manager, where she personally engaged with tens of thousands of fans across the globe. In 2024, she was promoted to tour manager across multiple continents (a role she maintains in addition to her position at Fly PR).
Shannon says:
“My goals are to find the most authentic and engaging ways to further artists’ careers and share their music and stories with the world. Getting to work with such a wide variety of clients at Fly PR keeps things exciting, and I always keep an eye out for artists and labels with fresh perspectives and great music.”
Fly PR was founded in 1994, and is respected in music, arts and entrepreneurial circles that seek a hands-on approach to publicity; the firm leverages media opportunities to draw a spotlight to emerging and overlooked artists while providing a grassroots work ethic and authenticity to major label projects.
