Travis Brings High-Energy “Raze the Bar” Tour to Vancouver [Photos]
Scottish alternative rock group Travis brought their “Raze the Bar Tour” to the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver with Akira Galaxy.
Scottish rock band Travis delivered a quality show to their Vancouver fans at a sold-out Commodore Ballroom.
The Glaswegians brought their “Raze the Bar Tour” to North America and had their first Canada stop in Vancouver on February 1st. Opening the show for them was the intriguing Akira Galaxy.
Akira Galaxy, who describes her music as ethereal and dream-like, put on a great show for the crowd. She started her eight-song-long set with “What’s Inside You.” She grabbed her electric guitar to play “Wannabe a Star” and closed her set with “Virtual Eye.”
Galaxy was flowing and dancing all over the stage during her performance and, on occasion, almost jumping over the crowd.
Travis took the stage, and fans showed their excitement and sang along to “Bus.” After the second song, “Driftwood,” singer and guitarist Fran Healy said he should do something fun while the photographers were in the pit and did a nice jump for us to capture.
They continued with their set and performed many hits, including “Sing,” “Closer,” and “Side.” They closed their set with “Turn.”
The fans did not want to leave the venue without a few more songs, and the band returned to perform a three-song encore featuring “As You Are,” “Flower,” and, of course, “Why Does It Always Rain On Me?.”
