J. Waylon Releases His Latest Single “Side Winds;” EP Out This Spring

J. Waylon is very pleased to announce that his single “Side Winds,” from a new EP due later this year, has been released. The track is now streaming everywhere.

Seattle songwriter J. Waylon has earned it honestly. Over a strong foundation of sawmill guitars and propulsive rhythm, he delivers timeless American rock n’ roll with a rough-hewn, deeply emotive voice.

Regarding “Side Winds,” Waylon explains that

“…it’s always going to be me who’s responsible for my failures or accomplishments. This new song is about fighting through mental exhaustion and finding the strength to go it alone.”

While living in his car and struggling with deep depression, Waylon made a decision; no longer would he be guided by other’s opinions of his worth. He began writing songs for himself, drawing from a music life inspired by outlaw country, Heartland rock, and post-grunge alternative. The songs just kept coming, soundtracking his journey into self-sufficiency, a re-discovery of self-worth, and a re-ignition of burning inner strength.

Waylon’s is a tale of letting go of toxicity, of relentless persistence in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds. Through his music and his compelling live performances, J. Waylon continues to inspire others to rekindle that inner fire.
