Poet and singer-songwriter Chris Bullinger unveils the animated video for his latest single, “Salvation As I Know It,” adding a powerful visual dimension to the song’s reflective and emotive storytelling. The video arrives as Bullinger gears up for an ambitious year, with the release of Waitin’ To Be Seen Part 2 slated for release on March 13th and new material in development that will mark an exciting departure from his signature sound.
The animated video for “Salvation As I Know It” is a striking blend of artistry and narrative depth. It follows the journey of a cowboy through vivid and evocative vignettes: sitting by a campfire with a postcard reading “I Miss You,” soldiers navigating the chaos of combat, and moments of connection and separation between a man and a woman. The visual storytelling complements the song’s poignant lyrics, which meditate on love, war, and renewal.
Bullinger shares:
“This video captures the heart of what ‘Salvation As I Know It’ is about. It’s the fragility and resilience of human connection in a world that often feels like it’s at war with itself. The imagery breathes new life into the song’s message, weaving personal and universal threads into one narrative.”
A standout track from Waitin’ To Be Seen Part 2, “Salvation As I Know It,” continues Bullinger’s tradition of blending Midwest grit with West Coast charm. The song’s dreamy harmonies, playful keys, and introspective lyrics create a soundtrack for quiet moments of reflection, inviting listeners to pause and reconnect.
The video’s release signals a new chapter for Bullinger. As Waitin’ To Be Seen Part 2 nears its spring release, he is also preparing to share an entirely new body of work later this year that will explore fresh sonic landscapes, expanding on the foundation he has built with his conceptual double album.
“Salvation As I Know” is part of Bullinger’s Bomb Shelter Trilogy, recorded at Nashville’s iconic Bomb Shelter Studios. The trilogy has cemented Bullinger as a compelling voice in modern storytelling, with his ability to weave intricate narratives through sound and lyricism.
With five critically acclaimed albums under his belt and millions of streams and views to his name, Bullinger’s journey from renewable energy pioneer to celebrated musician continues to captivate audiences. As he looks ahead, the release of the “Salvation As I Know It” video is only the beginning of what promises to be a defining year in his artistic evolution.
