Strat Andriotis Releasing ‘Exits’ Album on January 17th via Dekatria Records

Hamilton, Ontario-based guitarist and composer Strat Andriotis releases his latest album, Exits, on January 17, 2025, via Dekatria Records. Known for his distinctive compositional voice and virtuosic guitar work, Andriotis showcases a dynamic interplay between two trios across eight evocative tracks.

Exits combines intricate melodies, harmonic sophistication, and rhythmic innovation, embodying Andriotis’ signature “sweet and sour” compositional style. This release follows a prolific career spanning seven genre-defying albums, blending influences from jazz, rock, and classical music.

Andriotis’ lifelong journey with music began in his native Greece before immigrating to Hamilton, Ontario as a child. Early influences ranged from Cream and Jimi Hendrix to Miles Davis’ In a Silent Way, which inspired his immersion into jazz. Over the years, Andriotis has collaborated with an impressive roster of musicians, including Grammy-winning pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba, violinist Jerry Goodman (Mahavishnu Orchestra), and legendary bassist Tony Levin. With Exits, Andriotis continues to push boundaries, blending rich improvisation with thoughtful composition.
