Ockham Releases New Single “Stop”

Ockham’s latest single, “Stop”, is a new rock anthem that hits you right in the chest. Released in December 2024, the track combines gritty guitars with singer Brittany Lee’s tasteful yet powerful vocals. The musical contrast between the raw energy of the music and the delicate timbre of her voice gives “Stop” a uniquely relatable feel.
The instrumentation on the track is explosive—with budding guitar prodigy Devin Lee, the skillfully versatile Dylan Reese and Jaden Simon’s commanding rhythmic style on drums—together, the band creates a big, bold sound that any rock fan would enjoy.
“…I just wanted to tell a story about it, speculating what’s going through the mind of the oppressor.”
Lyrically, “Stop” tackles themes of power and control. Devin Lee, the band’s guitarist and songwriter, says it’s about being stuck under someone who thinks they know what’s best for everyone. “We all probably can think of someone like this, whether it’s a larger figure or someone in our personal lives, and I just wanted to tell a story about it, speculating what’s going through the mind of the oppressor.” he explains. The song’s message is about breaking free from that kind of control.
With “Stop”, Ockham has cemented their place as one of the most exciting new bands in rock. They’ve got a growing fanbase, a strong live show, and more music on the way in 2025.
