Modus Fire Releases High-Energy Single “Toxicity”

Modus Fire is kicking off 2025 with a bang with the release of their new single “Toxicity”. The Sydney band, known for mixing brass and riffs with a prog-punk twist, gives us an addictive, upbeat ska-punk track that’s about addiction in today’s world—whether it’s heavy substance abuse or our constant need to scroll and swipe.
“Toxicity” has an entertaining, danceable energy. The driving guitar riff gives the song momentum, while the horns bring that classic ska flavor. The vocals in “Toxicity” are fast, rhythmic, and almost rap-like, adding a strong layer of energy and poetic punch.
“Toxicity” is the first single from Modus Fire’s upcoming debut album, The Weary & The Wise, set for release in June 2025. The track was recorded mostly at home and mixed by Koby Geddes in London. With the new single out, and with a full 2025 lineup, Modus Fire is hitting the road to bring their sound to the stage too.
With “Toxicity”, Modus Fire proves they’ve got the chops and the message to back up their name. And this is just the start, in advance of the full length they’ve got well on the way. In their words, “A full-length album is a rite of passage we’re eager to endure, we’ve got some really wild new sounds for you!”
Listen to “Toxicity” by Modus Fire, out now, and stay tuned for the full release later this year.
