Window Dogs Release New EP ‘Wishing Well’

Cleveland-based indie rock band Window Dogs is back with their new EP Wishing Well, a four-song collection that blends folk, pop, and punk into their unique alt-rock sound. Known for their energetic live shows, the band has captured that same energy in a studio setting in this new release.
Two of the lead singles, “In the Basement” and “Way She Goes,” can be discovered for the first time with the release, and highlight the band’s compositional range. “In the Basement” starts with delicate guitar picking and piano progressions, introducing the EP with a mesmerizing dynamic build. The song showcases the band’s dynamics in writing and performing that carries through the entire tracklist. “Way She Goes” carries more of an upbeat Americana stomp-clap feel with a driving rhythm guitar, bringing a diverse genre presence to the EP.
The band worked with local producer Ben Schigel, who’s known for his work with many big-name acts. They wanted to capture the feel of their live shows while still giving the music a clean, professional sound. The result is an EP that feels raw and real all while balancing studio quality with the band’s honest, high-energy style.
Window Dogs, who’ve been playing together for nearly a decade, have built a strong local following thanks to their unique sound and authentic songwriting. “Our aspirations were just to continue to grow as a band and have fun and enjoy the creative community around live music. That’s always been the goal.” Drawing inspiration from artists like Nathaniel Rateliff and Manchester Orchestra, Wishing Well shows how the band continues to evolve, both as musicians and as part of Cleveland’s creative community. With this EP, they’ve delivered something full of life.
