West Coast pop-punk icons The Story So Far headlined the Brooklyn Paramount in New York in support of their fifth studio full-length album, I Want To Disappear, which was released earlier this year. They brought along Superheaven and Long Island natives Koyo on this tour, which got the Brooklyn crowd pumped from the start. The sold-out show was a true testament to the band’s colossal impact on the pop-punk scene, from playing smaller and DIY venues prior to Under Soil and Dirt (2011) to playing sold-out venues and festivals around the globe.

The setlist had a commendable variety from across their discography, opening up with their first single off the latest album, “Big Blind.” They then played several favourites from the release, including “Nothing To Say,” “Watch You Go,” and “White Shores” as an emotional homage to frontman Parker Cannon’s late father.

Of course, it’s not a The Story So Far show without hearing “Roam” and “Quicksand,” which had fans flying through the air in waves. Truthfully, though, every album they’ve released has seen great success. No matter the era the song came from, there was a persistent choir of audience members singing, from loyal ones that have been around since While You Were Sleeping to newcomers who have only recently stumbled upon the TSSF goldmine.

The “I Want To Disappear U.S. Tour” is a relatively short run, with many dates having sold out well ahead of time–if you still have the chance, we encourage you to make it out to a show!
