The Almighty Crank Up the Riffs at Cambridge Corn Exchange [Photos]
Scottish rockers The Almighty deliver an unstoppable set of huge hits and greasy riffs at Cambridge Corn Exchange…
This time last year fans of Scottish rockers The Almighty were lucky enough to see the band on three very rare UK shows. Shortly after the shows were wrapped up, the much-loved Scottish rock crew confirmed three further shows for late 2025 wrapping this ‘Three N’ Easy’ run with a night in their hometown venue of Glasgow Barrowlands.
Before that though was a trip to the Corn Exchange in Cambridge were the band snarled, stomped and smashed through a mammoth twenty-one song set-list which must have contained every single one of their fan favourites. Led from the front by Ricky Warwick, The Almighty now, much like they were back in their heyday, were simply unstoppable.
Storming through hit after hit, this career-spanning set saw the band batter through “Crucify”, “Destroyed” and “Wrench” in the first five songs of the night. From there it was just banger after banger through the “Little Lost Sometimes”, “Jonestown Mind” and “Devil’s Toy”.
Wrapping up the set with “Wild N’ Wonderful”, “Jesus Loves You… But I Don’t” and “Free N’ Easy”, Ricky and the band left the stage having delivered everything their hardcore fanbase wanted and then some. Fans left the venue having witnessed one of Britain’s finest bands still at the top of their game while the rest of us are just hoping that, should they announce another run of shows, they pick a town near us.
V13 sent our photographer Daniel Ackerley-Holmes to the gig in Cambridge and you can check out his gallery, along with The Almighty set-list, right here:
