A lot of people have a certain specific idea of what “metal” music should sound like, but not Adam Kronowski. It’s a whole diverse world of musical landscapes to discover on the new KRONOWSKI record Do I Need A Reason. Due out officially on December 5th, today is your first listen to this dynamic new record. As a band, KRONOWSKI has really started to hit their stride lately. As a songwriter, Kronowski brings a very open mind to the table when it comes to penning songs.

Do I Need A Reason is an eclectic mix of sounds, heavy metal, power metal, alternative rock, and we suppose you could say more radio-friendly moments. You might hear a heavy guitar breakdown followed by an electro-pop-influenced verse. It’s all on the table for Kronowski, and he really doesn’t give a damn what the haters may think.

Commenting on the EP’s release, Kronowski tells us:

“Hey everyone at V13! Thank you for checking out Do I Need a Reason! This EP represents a lot of growth for the band, both musically and lyrically, where we have tried to push ourselves to throw rules aside and just make whatever we want. From that, you’ll find everything from thrash metal and breakdowns to jam band-esque solos and piano ballads within these five tracks. I hope you enjoy the ride as much as we enjoyed making it!”

As Kronowski suggests, Do I Need A Reason is a very free-flowing affair. He crafted the record with a very open mind, not being dedicated to a certain idea of a sound. You get an experience featuring the aggression of thrash and metalcore with earworm pop-centric melodies. It ventures from aggressive breakdowns to more pensive ballads, which Kronowski feels represents a more modern metal experience. This record is entirely the brainchild of Kronowski, as he handled all writing, production, and performing himself. It’s refreshingly current, and being so unrestrained allows you to more easily immerse yourself into the songs. Without getting bogged down by classifications, KRONOWSKI really soars with Do I Need A Reason and succeeds in getting you excited for a full-length hopefully on its way soon.
