Tenille Townes & Sacha Treat Montreal to an Evening of Country Goodness [Photos]
Tenille Townes and Sacha hit Le Studio TD in Montreal, a very intimate little venue and the perfect place to take in two Country artists.
Le Studio TD in Montreal is a very intimate little venue and the perfect place to take in two Country artists who bear their souls in their songs. Tenille Townes arrived in Montreal as part of her “Things That Brought Me Here” tour and was greeted by a very welcoming crowd. Country music is rather popular in La Belle Province, and Tenille Townes is currently one of the top Canadian Country Music stars.
A bit of divine intervention led me to Tenille Townes’ music. A few years back, I was drawn to sending in a request to photograph her show despite never having heard a single note of her music. While at the concert, I heard her tell the story of how close she was to her grandparents and that they had inspired her to get into music. I had a similar experience. My grandmother was very supportive of my photography, and her words pushed me to go further. As the goosebumps rose on my arm, I then knew why I was at that show, and I have been a fan of her music ever since.
Joining Tenille for this stop in Montreal was up-and-coming Country performer Sacha. She shared the great news with the crowd that she had just recently signed with Sony Music and that her first album was on the verge of being released. She shares her life in her songs. Two notable songs being “Missing Out” and “Hey Mom, I Made It.” Both songs were directly inspired by her own family life.
She got the crowd going with a mash-up of Taylor Swift songs, cleverly called “Mashed Pa-Taylor” on the setlist, but it was the short glimpses into her heart and soul that really grabbed the crowd and pulled them in closer to her. Be on the look-out for Sacha, you can’t help but feel good things are coming her way.
Tenille Townes has her fair share of personal songs as well. She won over the hearts of her fans with her relatable songs and an ever-soaring voice. She described the evening by saying it felt like playing in a living room and a rock club simultaneously. That makes sense as her songs can just as easily pull you in closer for a tender moment or be explosive and pull you to your feet to dance and get rowdy right along with her.
Her terrific debut album, The Lemonade Stand, was released in 2020. No mention was made of a new album, but she has released a steady stream of singles and EPs since then. Tenille Townes and her “Things That Brought Me Here” tour continues until the end of the month. Be sure to check her out when the tour visits a town near you.
