South African alternative rock group Snowing Down South originally formed in 2011 and dominated campus rock radio with their popular single “It’s Not Your Fault.” For nearly two months, the song held the #1 spot on Tuks FM.

Continuing to use their gift of creating a raw and unique sound based on American and British rock underpinnings, the guys recently returned with the single “Birds Above My Bed.” Now, we premiere the rad music video for the song.

The band reached out with a comment on the video premiere:

“V13! We sincerely thank you for your interest in our project all the way over here in South Africa. We are frequent visitors of your site. It’s a surreal and humbling experience to be featured and a privilege to be seen by your fanbase.”

For those new to the act, the members disbanded in 2015. Then, one night, after reconvening and enjoying some of their past music, they reformed in 2023. At this time, fans can get excited knowing that Snowing Down South is working on a new EP titled No Such Place As Far Away.

Born in 2003, V13 was a socio-political website that morphed into PureGrainAudio in 2005 and spent 15 years developing into one of Canada's (and the world’s) leading music sites. On the eve of the site’s 15th anniversary, a full relaunch and rebrand took us back to our roots and opened the door to a full suite of Music, Entertainment, and cultural content.
