Embark on a raw and emotional journey of self-discovery with Sight of Emptiness’ latest masterpiece, “Soul Ascension.” This powerful anthem is the second single off their highly anticipated fifth studio album, Above the Noise, delving into the depths of the human soul, exploring themes of darkness, light, and the relentless pursuit of redemption.

The band states:

“As the protagonist grapples with despair, she/he emerges stronger, seeking enlightenment and a higher purpose. This sonic odyssey is a battle between darkness and light, a fight that resonates with anyone who has ever felt lost and yearned for meaning.”

This new track is a taste of the band’s highly anticipated fifth studio album, Above the Noise, produced and mixed by the legendary Thomas Plec Johansson (Opeth, Soilwork, Mayhem).

Global Domination, One Riff at a Time: SoE is no stranger to conquering stages worldwide. From Iceland’s frozen landscapes to the electrifying energy of Japan, they’ve shared the spotlight with metal royalty like Testament, In Flames, Arch Enemy, Behemoth, Nightwish, and Machine Head. They ignited the mosh pits at Bloodstock Open Air and became the first Central American band to sail the legendary 70,000 Tons of Metal Cruise. Closer to home, they’ve supported legends like Black Sabbath, Slayer, Megadeth, and Amon Amarth, leaving audiences breathless across Costa Rica.

Their previous album, Redemption, earned a resounding “Death Metal Masterpiece” from MetalSucks.net and a stellar 7/10 rating from Metal Hammer UK, cementing their place among the elite. SoE’s critically acclaimed albums have raked in multiple Costa Rican Music Awards, including Artist of Greatest International Exposure and Best Metal Album. They’ve even jammed with Costa Rica’s Minister of Culture on their album Instincts! Instincts featured legendary guest vocalists and guitarists from bands like Megadeth, Ugly Kid Joe, Deicide, and Scar Symmetry, raising the sonic bar.

As Sight of Emptiness prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2025, Above the Noise promises to be a testament to its enduring legacy. This milestone album will showcase the band’s evolution and unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of metal music.
