It’s incredible to think that in October 2023, British pop-rock favourites Scouting For Girls kicked off their The Place We Used To Meet tour. The tour, in support of their 2023 album, The Place We Used To Meet, saw the band trek the length and breadth of the country before breaking off for a Summer of outdoor gigs.

The band returned in October for the second half of the tour, taking in towns and cities not visited on the first half for another two month run of shows which we joined on the penultimate date in Stockport.

Shortly heading into their 20th, the pop-rock band still maintain the same line-up and, with a string of Top 40 hit singles and albums, the pop-rock band have a catalogue to be proud of. The set list for the second half of the tour, predictably, includes the big hitters like “This Aint A Love Song and “She’s So Lovely,” alongside new album cuts like “The Missing Part and “Raise A Glass”.

A set full of fan favourites like “Elvis Is Dead”, the band even drop their bouncy rendition of Busted hit single “Year 3000” towards the back end of the set which, as if such encouragement was needed, had both the band and this crowd bouncing along. Ahead of the tour, frontman Roy Stride expressed his excitement for the second leg of dates and, by the end of the set, you couldn’t say the pop-rockers hadn’t delivered on their promise.

Our photographer Katie Probert Photography headed over to Stockport to catch the lads in action. Check out her photos and their set list here:
