Nice Swan Records Launches Imprint Nice Swan Electronic
The Nice Swan record label has announced that it has now launched an electronic label, Nice Swan Electronic.
Nice Swan, the acclaimed label behind breaking acts like English Teacher, Sports Team, and SPRINTS, announces the launch of its new electronic imprint, Nice Swan Electronic. This venture kicks off with the debut single “London City” from new Manchester-based electronic outfit Public House. For their first track, they have enlisted the help of Swoon, the label and booking agency head whose music has been played on Radio 1 by Amelie Lens and more.
“London City” invites listeners on an evocative journey through the group’s intrepid recollection of London nightlife, blending nostalgic synth lines with classic UK-inspired rhythms. The track captures the exhilarating euphoria of peak-time clubbing while reflecting on the poignant melancholy of post-rave mornings.
It may be Public House’s debut release, but with the group made up of Arkane, Habgud, and Cleric, three Manchester based DJ/producers who have been cutting their trade locally and globally with regular slots at Berghain, Tresor, Warehouse Project, it comes with years of rich artistry. Public House’s debut EP will follow in early 2025.
Alex of Nice Swan states:
“Following the recent success of our techno/punk trio, Chalk, in 2024, we felt it was the perfect moment to merge our musical influences with the electronic world and launch a new imprint. We are excited to announce that Manchester’s very own Public House will be the inaugural release on the Nice Swan electronic label. Stay tuned for more exciting releases to come.”
About Public House:
• Cleric has been a touring artist for over a decade, with multiple performances at Berghain, Awakenings, Tomorrowland, Warehouse Project and contributions to four BBC Radio’s Future 12 Series hosted by B Traits. He continues to run Clergy, one of the most respected labels in techno.
• Arkane has graced the stages of iconic events such as Parklife and the Warehouse Project, showcasing his dynamic sound to a wide audience.
• Habgud has released ten records in the last decade and has spent years curating his own label B.A.B.E. (Burned at Both Ends), playing numerous shows across Europe, including Tresor.
