Today, Lorraine shares with us her journey from jackpot winner to gaming influencer, her experiences in the entertainment industry, and how she continues to break boundaries as a multi-faceted entrepreneur.

Background and journey: Can you tell us about your journey in the entertainment industry and how you transitioned from actress to entrepreneur?

Lorraine Bencivengo-Ziff: “It’s been quite the whirlwind! I’ve always actually been an entrepreneur, creating businesses throughout my life. I’ve also always been tuned in to my creative side, between the acting, writing, and producing. Acting gave me a platform to tell stories, but becoming the ‘Goddess of Slots’ happened unexpectedly after my viral jackpot win. That win, combined with my love for fun and my background in social work, helped me connect with my audience on a deeper level. It also kind of naturally led to my entrepreneurial path by blending entertainment with personal engagement.”

The jackpot win: Your viral jackpot win was a pivotal moment for you. Can you share the details of that win and how it changed your life?

“That was a game-changer! I was at the casino with friends and we were recording for fun. When I won, I posted the video online and it went viral overnight. From there, everything just kind of took off. It was unexpected but it put me on this exciting new path.”

Goddess of Slots: How did the moniker “Goddess of Slots” come about, and what does it mean to you personally and professionally?

“A friend, who knows my love for fashion already, referred to me as ‘goddess.’ After my big win, he jokingly said, ‘I was now also the Goddess of the Slots.’ We all got a kick out of that and it just stuck. From there, it evolved into what is now my brand. I feel all women are goddesses in their own way. For me, it’s a nice blend of entertainment and empowerment. Personally, I feel it represents confidence and beauty. Professionally, it’s about creating fun content that connects with my audience.”

Influencer impact: As a prominent influencer in the casino and gaming industry, what do you think sets you apart from others in this space?

“I think it’s my authenticity. I take pride in just being myself. Also, I show everything in my videos, both the wins and the losses. I think my audience knows I’m real with them. I also like to keep it light. And I think that my acting background helps with this too. But it’s the connection with my followers that makes the biggest difference. I hope they feel like they’re along for the ride with me!”

Fashion house: What inspired you to create Goddess of Slots Casual, Elegant, Club & Casino Apparel, and how do you select the styles featured in your collection?

“I’ve always loved fashion! So, moving into this world was a pretty natural step. I’ve partnered with an import-export fashion expert. My collection reflects the different casino experiences. There’s casual for just hanging out. There are more elegant items for a more high-stakes environment. And club looks for a night out. I choose styles that are fashionable and comfortable because gaming should be fun and stylish!”

Promotional tours: Can you describe your experience collaborating with casinos like Hard Rock Atlantic City and Peppermill Reno? What was the most rewarding aspect of these partnerships?

“Working with brands like Hard Rock and Peppermill Reno has been incredible! I loved working with George Goldhoff, President at Hard Rock in Atlantic City, because he understands the power of influencers like me. He was so enthusiastic and charming—it was a real pleasure. Peppermill in Reno was another one. Everyone there was so fun and easy to work with.

“When a casino understands the value an influencer brings, it’s a win-win for all. I enjoy seeing my fellow influencers in person too. The most rewarding part of this, though, is meeting my followers in person and sharing the excitement with them. They are all so nice! Collaborating with the casinos and showing the fun and excitement this form of entertainment brings has been a dream come true!”

Innovations in gaming: How do you stay informed about the latest innovations in the gaming industry, and what excites you most about new slot machines like Rakin’ Bacon and Coin Trio Royale?

“Many times, slot companies will unveil their newest games in a specific casino first, before bringing it out to the mass casino audience. Hard Rock Atlantic City did this with Rakin’ Bacon, and Peppermill did this with a different version of Rakin’ Bacon, as well as Coin Trio. I was honoured to introduce each of the newest versions of those games.

“In addition, I just returned from G2E, which is the largest gaming expo in the world. Everything related to gambling is there. AGS partnered with me, and I was able to demo the newest Rakin’ Bacon games while live-streaming so that my audience could experience the same excitement for the unveiling of the newest slot games that I did, in real-time. I also got to play the new Coin Trio Royale. Between that and all of the gaming magazines, it’s easy to keep informed on the newest innovations.”

Omnichannel Launch: What was it like collaborating with Hard Rock for their first Omnichannel Launch, and what does omnichannel mean for the future of gaming?

“Collaborating with Hard Rock’s Omnichannel Launch was a real blast. The Hard Rock Atlantic City team went all out and had a meet-and-greet in their Plum Lounge for their high rollers. It was there that the influencers were able to discuss the availability of the playing both online and in the physical casino. We then shifted to the games on the floor. I was able to play the game right in front of me, on the floor, and then play on my iPad as well. Many can use phones to play but the iPad was visually better for the livestream we also did.

Sallye Hershman, director of Omni Operations and Marketing, and Cain Myers of Hard Rock Digital did an amazing job setting that all up. I find for myself that having the option to play both in the casino as well as out of the casinos—on days I just don’t feel like getting dressed up but still am looking for entertainment—is a win all the way around.”

Gambling vs. Life: You mentioned the parallels between gambling and life. Can you elaborate on this perspective and share a personal story that illustrates this connection?

“Gambling is like life because you take risks. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. Of course, while it’s a blast, it’s about discipline too. I studied martial arts for a good portion of my life, earning several levels of black belt by setting goals and achieving them through discipline. When it comes to gambling, I stick to that same disciplined mindset. Set a budget for entertainment and stick to that budget, no matter what. Then, whether you win or lose financially, you will have won because you were able to have a good time, and that’s the bottom line.

“My jackpot win was a huge moment for me. What I did next, though, deciding to create a ‘next level,’ was even more important. While outcomes can be uncertain, how you approach things is key, both in gambling and in everyday life.”

Audience Engagement: How do you engage with your followers and ensure that your content resonates with both casual gamers and serious players?

“That’s honestly one of the best parts of what I do! I’m always on social media posting videos, replying to comments, and chatting with followers. I love keeping things fun and making sure there’s a little something for everyone. I post tips for casual gamers and also stuff for the serious players. To me, it’s all about having fun and building a community where everyone feels welcome!”

Advice for Aspiring Influencers: What advice would you give to someone looking to break into the gaming or influencer space?

“Don’t give up. I think that’s the best advice I could give. I’ve spent a lot of time researching what I wanted to achieve—things like building an audience on social media. I have been careful to remain consistent, posting every single day, studying algorithms, and trending tags. I’ve also gotten a lot of advice from people who knew more than I did about the areas where I needed guidance.”

Future Goals: What are your aspirations for the Goddess of Slots brand, both in terms of fashion and influence in the gaming industry?

“I’m in talks with Virgin Voyages for a Goddess of Slots cruise. I am also working on getting GOS fashion into casinos. I’m really just doing everything I can to take both fashion and being an influencer to the next level. The sky’s the limit!”

Upcoming Projects: Are there any upcoming projects or collaborations that you’re particularly excited about that you can share with us?

“I just completed an amazing Virgin Voyages cruise with ‘The Big Jackpot.’ I’m also in discussions to collaborate on future Virgin Voyages cruises. I had a blast competing in the ‘MyVIP World Tournament of Slots’ event in the Atlantis in the Bahamas, and have already been invited back to the Atlantis for future live-streaming of events. I have several podcasts coming up and an additional trip to both El Cortez and The Wynn Las Vegas in December, for more filming.”
