Jaryn Jones Releases Powerful New Single “Woman”
Nashville-based artist Jaryn Jones released her new song “Woman”—and it’s an emotional tribute to women who have been victims of assault, inspired by a tragic story that hit close to home.
The idea for “Woman” came after Jaryn Jones heard about a horrible incident just 20 minutes from her Nashville home. A woman was attacked while running on the Mill Creek Greenway—she was followed and attacked and while she fought back, she tragically lost her life. The story left Jones feeling sick and unsure of how to process her emotions, but she turned to what she knows best: music.
“This song is about sharing the stories of victims and using our voices to demand change . . .”
The result is “Woman”—a powerful song that uses music to speak out for those who can’t speak for themselves. “This song is about sharing the stories of victims and using our voices to demand change,” Jones says. The song serves as a way to honor those we’ve lost and make sure their stories are heard.
For Jaryn Jones, music has always been about authenticity, and “Woman” is no different. The song is more than just a tribute; it’s a call to action. Jones hopes it inspires people to stand up and fight for safer communities, where no one has to live in fear. With its emotional depth and urgent message, “Woman” is a powerful reminder that music can be a force for change.
