Honne and their “Ouch Tour” arrived at Vancouver’s Commodore Ballroom, but one night was not enough.

The English duo brought their contagious sound and great personalities to the Vancouverites, and rising star singer and songwriter Liang Lawrence is riding along for the tour.

Lawrence, who first stepped on Canadian floors a few days before at the Toronto tour stop, expressed her love for Canada and how lovely Vancouver is. She opened her set with “Set Me Up” and was surprised because there was a group of fans singing the song word by word.

Her set was short, with only seven songs performed, one of them was “Kiss My Apocalypse” which was released later that night. Still, it felt like an intimate session with a group of friends, Liang at the front centre of the stage, with just her guitar and lovely voice.

When the time came for Honne to hit the stage, Lucky (the mascot) was the first to hit the stage and started swiping the floor but then ran away, and the band started showing up. They open their performance with “Free Love” and “Imaginary.”

Liang Lawrence was with the band doing the backup vocals and helping and served as the female voice in features like “Location Unknown,” “COMING HOME,” “BACK ON TOP,” “Crying Over You,” and “Someone That Loves You.”

The band put on a memorable show and did not look like they had had enough after performing their first sold-out night in Vancouver. They decided to send everyone home happy, ending their set with “Warm on a Cold Night,” “No Song Without You,” and “Day 1.”
