Everyday Dolores Releases New Single “Take The Bait”

Everyday Dolores released their newest single, “Take the Bait,” and it’s an incredibly catchy track from their upcoming album, The LCD. The new track is musically entertaining and lyrically substantive—taking a direct shot at how today’s media spreads misinformation and uses clickbait to make money.
With the new release, Mike Ulliman, the creative force behind Everyday Dolores, blends the big sounds of ’80s progressive rock bands like YES and Genesis with the grunge energy of ’90s acts like Jane’s Addiction and Sonic Youth. The result is a vibrant pop-rock song that tackles serious issues in a fun way.
The lyrics are sharp and eye-opening, calling out the media for twisting the truth. With lines like, “That TV person’s spoutin’ venom, lies to misconstrue,” Ulliman points out how sensational stories can manipulate viewers and create anger. The catchy chorus reminds us that spreading outrage is big business:
“Outrage sells, and they’re cashing in, / The louder the lie you know the more they win.”
To support the release, Ulliman teamed up once again with filmmaker Alex Haney to create another highly entertaining music video that adds add a playful twist to the song’s message.
So dive into the universe of Everyday Dolores—listen to the single “Take the Bait”, available now on all major streaming platforms.
