Alex Henry Foster Shares Live Video for “Shadows of Our Evening Tides”
With the state of Britain at the moment, it’s no surprise there is a plethora of bands emerging whose music is just dripping with the kind of frustration felt by us all. Bands like Kid Kapichi and Soft Play are musical hand grenades waiting to go off the minute they hit the stage. South East outfit SNAYX are another band who simply erupt by the time they go live.
Like many of the current crop of new artists, tonight’s support act Bobby Wolfgang is a whirlwind of genres. Blending modern rock with electronics, Wolfgang is no stranger to the live circuit and, having honed his live show supporting the like Frank Carter and Yonaka, as well as hitting the UK festival circuit, Bobby Wolfgang lights the fuse on the night.
By the time SNAYX take to the stage, you can imagine the UK alt-rock duo are ready to explode. Explode they do as they erupt into what musically can best be described as punk rock for the modern music listener. A blistering mix of alt-rock, electronics, frustration and rage, the SNAYX soundtrack is exactly the kind of thing we need right now. Like the support act, SNAYX have fine-tuned their visceral sound touring the UK gig and festival circuit and you can see why they’ve become one of the most exciting live artists around.
Touring in support of their critically-acclaimed Better Days EP, their set sees SNAYX blaze through all four tracks off the EP while their cover of The Prodigy’s hit “Breathe” couldn’t have been more perfect a choice for SNAYX and this moment in time. The press throw around words like “vital” when they talk about artists like SNAYX but, if you were here tonight or have crossed paths with the in any live setting this past twelve months, you’ll know that SNAYX really are what we need right now.
V13 sent Harry Wassell along to the show, and you can check out his gallery and Snayx setlist here.
