Jeremy Elliot Premieres Electrifying Single “Regarding Still Being Addicted”
A heady, sonic exercise in irresistible proximity, Jeremy Elliot’s “Regarding Still Being Addicted” conveys the emotional longing of the human heart.
Grammy-nominated songwriter Jeremy Elliot unveils his new single, “Regarding Still Being Addicted,” a track from his upcoming debut EP, Part II, a seven-track collection of songs about love, loss, addiction, hope and, ultimately, healing.
He comments on the tune, stating:
“Regarding… is just about my favorite song I’ve ever written. In a lot of ways, it’s really the corner stone of my upcoming EP. And, on a personal note, it’s the song that’s helped me heal more than any other I’ve been blessed to be a part of. There’s something about a ‘sing-at-the-top-of-your-lungs’ high energy rock song that talks about some of my most painful moments that just does it for me. I’m so grateful to and for all of the people who came together to help make this record possible, I’ve always said I make music to heal, but in order to do that, you really have to start to learn how to heal yourself. I hope this song helps people heal the same way it’s helped me – My name is Jeremy Elliot, and this is ‘Regarding Still Being Addicted…’”
Through collaborations with producers such as Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd and working for artists like Matt Nathanson and Trey Songz, as well as contributing to Justin Bieber’s Purpose, Elliot has established his gifts as a lyricist and composer.
Often compared to Kings of Leon and Imagine Dragons because of his imaginative blend of pop, rock, indie, and soul, with his solo project, Elliot substantiates himself as one of the tour de force artists of contemporary music.
“Regarding Still Being Addicted” rolls out on bright, propelling rhythm saturated in shimmering indie-pop-rock surfaces with hints of dance energy running through it. Simultaneously vibrant and contagious, the magnetic harmonics draw listeners in as Elliot’s evocative vocals imbue the lyrics with thick, compelling passion. A lustrous wall-of-sound outro descends to a perfect, percussive finale.
A heady, sonic exercise in irresistible proximity, “Regarding Still Being Addicted” conveys the emotional longing embodied in the human heart.
