Cody Smith – “Every Little Thing” [Song Review]

Rising country artist Cody Smith releases his new single, “Every Little Thing,” a song about the thrill of discovering all the small details that make someone special, from the music they like to their favorite coffee to their endearing quirks.

On the new single, Smith joined forces with multi-platinum record producers and songwriters Shep Goodman and Aaron Accetta.

After serving his country in the Air Force, during which he could only dream of making music, Smith immersed himself in songwriting and recording, developing a unique sound that blends country roots with tinctures of rap and pop.

The soft, gleaming intro of “Every Little Thing” flows into a pop-flavored country melody riding a buoyant rhythm. Guitar and banjo surfaces merge into delicious, shimmering colors as Smith’s wonderfully raspy voice imbues the lyrics with feel-good charm and suggestions of delighted surprise.
