2000Trees Reveal Five Main Stage Headliners for 2025 Event
2000trees Festival has announced five (yes, that is FIVE) main stage headliners for its 2025 event all announced at the same time!
2000trees Festival has announced five (yes, that is FIVE) main stage headliners for its 2025 event. For the first time in the festival’s history, all of the main stage headliners have been announced at the same time and announced nine months ahead of the event.
On Saturday the 12th of July, making their 2000trees Festival debut, we have Canadian legends (i.e. The Only Band Ever) Alexisonfire. Formed in 2001 in Ontario, Canada, Alexisonfire is truly one of the great rock bands of their generation, and everyone at 2000trees Festival is beside themselves with excitement at the prospect of this stunning band closing out our 2025 event.
George Pettit of Alexisonfire said:
“Alexis is very excited to be playing 2000trees next year. Let it be known, by the time we are done playing there will be significantly less trees.”
Joining them on the main stage across the weekend will be four bands, with three of them making their 2000trees Festival debuts, and all are utterly fantastic. On Thursday night, the two co-headliners are the phenomenal Irish hip hop band Kneecap, who are also currently in cinema screens across the world with their stunning movie of the same name, and making a 2000trees debut is the Massachusetts musical tour de force PVRIS, whose recent Evergreen album from 2023 was one of the best of the year. Then on Friday, a double festival debut from NYC rock legends Taking Back Sunday, who will be making damn sure to bring the swagger and the bangers to the festival, as well as co-headliners, the staggeringly wonderful prog rockers and fellow New Yorkers, Coheed And Cambria.
James Scarlett, head booker of 2000trees Festival, stated:
“This is quite literally the biggest 2000trees announcement we’ve ever done. We’re delighted to bring some huge classic bands in, that we’ve been after for years, for their long-awaited first ever Trees performances. We’re also honoured to usher in the likes of PVRIS and Kneecap for their first ever UK festival headline performances. Tickets are already flying out, and to say it’s going to be a legendary year is an understatement. Miss 2000trees 2025 at your own peril.”
Kneecap said of their headlining slot:
“We’re buzzing to be coming back to 2025 trees as a headliner. It was one of our favourite festival gigs last time and this one will be even bigger!”
Taking Back Sunday added regarding their upcoming appearance:
“We’ve been hearing about 2000trees for quite some time and we were happy to get a call to come join in 2025. Looking forward to seeing who else will be there and excited for a new experience.”
Also announced includes a reunion for the incredible, much loved and much missed Frank Turner, who fronted UK hardcore band Million Dead, and Hastings 4 piece (and 2000trees favourites) Kid Kapichi. English singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist RØRY, Michigan post-hardcore band La Dispute, much loved Californian 3-piece garage punk band Fidlar, New York hardcore from the very exciting Spaced, New Jersey hardcore punk par excellence GEL, one of the finest UK metal bands of the last 10 years Employed To Serve, Brisbane Australian dance-punk rock DZ Deathrays and heavy heavy hardcore from Australia with five-piece Terminal Sleep are also announced today. Also joining them include North East UK alt-rock band VENUS GRRRLS, Eurovision legend and Irish singer-songwriter Bambie Thug, fast-rising Macclesfield-based Queen Cult, London noise pop band Tayne and the stunning Glasgow four-piece Spyres, along with many more!
