Taylor Tunes Releases New Album ‘Model Citizen’
Taylor Tunes is back with his new album, Model Citizen, an entertaining throwback to the pop punk sounds of the early 2000s. Known for his musical versatility and a storied career with bands like The Tryst and Giant Blue, Taylor Tunes has culminated both his past and present into a sonic offering that’s chock full of fast tempos, crunchy guitars, and wildly catchy melodies.
Following his 2023 EP Hate Money, which earned him the 2022 Songwriter of the Year title from the Arizona Music Connection, the follow up release Model Citizen is an addictively energetic record with a lyrical makeup that doesn’t lack for heart or the occasional touch of humor. The album has that personal touch feel, being mainly recorded in Tunes’ home studio, with finishing features at Cimamusic Studios in Tucson, Arizona.
Taylor says, “Creating this album was the most fun I have had in a music studio to date,”—and you can feel that energy in the finished product. Fans of bands the likes of Green Day and The Offspring will find sonic solace in Tune’s newest offering.
