Sonic Unyon Announce New Venue Sonic Hall in Guelph, ON
Sonic Unyon Records has announced the official opening of their new concert venue Sonic Hall in Guelph, Ontario on October 4th.
Canadian staple independent record label Sonic Unyon has announced the opening of their third venue. The team behind Mills Hardware and Bridgeworks, located in Hamilton, ON, are expanding to Guelph, ON, with Sonic Hall. The 230 standing-cap venue, located on the second level of 12 Wyndham St., revives a central space in the heart of downtown Guelph. Sonic Unyon’s vision is for Sonic Hall to be a community hub for great music in the city, attracting local talent and touring musicians from across Canada. For more info, hit this link.
Sonic Unyon’s Tim Potocic comments:
“Guelph has a strong music community and we are looking forward to partnering with the local music scene. We are excited to collaborate with artists in Guelph and integrate into the bigger Guelph community.”
Sonic Unyon named the venue Sonic Hall after Sonic Unyon Records, tying the brand into their love of indie music and the scene that surrounds it. The venue is set to celebrate its grand opening on Friday, October 4th, with a Motown DJ night, followed by a slew of great gigs from the likes of The Sadies, Great Lake Swimmers, Cuff the Duke, Skye Wallace, Menno Versteeg, Lowest of the Low, Born in the Eighties, and more.
