Sara Lew Premieres Intriguing New Single “Did You Ever Notice”
Sara Lew premieres her intriguing new single “Did You Ever Notice.” Check out this taster from her upcoming new album here…
Born and raised in Roskilde with an English mother and Danish father, Sara Lewis Sørensen, aka Sara Lew, now lives in Copenhagen. She was trained as an electric guitarist at the Rhythmic Music Conservatorium in Copenhagen. Throughout her career, Sara has always developed herself – and been a musical seeker – within jazz and improvisational music and through singer-songwriter, alternative rock and indie-folk-rock music.
Today, Sara Lew releases “Did You Ever Notice,” the final teaser from her upcoming new album, Loud, which is due on November 8th, 2024.
The track follows Sara’s singles “Faces,” “Out of Nowhere,” and “Shady Light,” which received press and radio acclaim in the UK and Denmark. It talks about patterns in life and relationships. It’s about how we can be caught in life’s unforeseen, manifold tripwires, how we cope, and how we are affected by what comes after.
Sara had this to say about the single:
“‘Did You Ever Notice’ is a about circles in life and relations. About how things happen and effects on what comes after. How we are affected by what happened. How we cope, what we share and what we missed – and how we can be caught in life’s unforeseen, manifold trip wires.”
The singles and “Did you ever Notice” come from Sara Lew’s upcoming album LOUD, which is all based around themes about the development of life. It’s about when young people become adults and experience personal confrontations with the past, in which family stories of shame and taboo culture arise from the subconscious.
The album explores how to rein in anger and grief, to keep your head above water and be a role model for your own children when life all falls apart and how to protect love and togetherness when everyday life rolls on. Essentially, it’s an album about living in the present moment with love for life’s stories, memories, and moments of happiness but also life’s unforeseen, manifold tripwires.
