No Play Festival Brings Chaos and Creativity Back to Liverpool [Photos]
No Play Festival returned in 2024 for an event that was as chaotic as it was creative. Check out the photo gallery here…
With festival season wrapping up in the UK and Summer being a mere distant memory, Liverpool’s No Play Promotions dotted off the season with the return of their No Play Festival 2024 for its second event. Set across multiple venues across the city, the debut event weighed in with an impressive line-up (read our coverage here), so when the confirmed line-up for their 2024 line-up included US sci-fi grindcore headliners SeeYouSpaceCowboy, they had clearly outdone themselves with the line-up.
Set across three intimate venues, Arts Club, EBGBs and Jacaranda, these three locations are the perfect settings for No Play Festival 2024. The main room played host to a brutal cocktail of grindcore, metallic hardcore and downright chaotic pits as headliners See You Space Cowboy were joined by the chaotic metallic rage of Heriot, backed up by a barrage of brutality include Grove Street, and Cauldron along with a plethora of rising talent including Cruelty and openers Malice.
Venture out of the brutal pits of the main room and into one of the cosier small rooms and you would be greeted by a mix of national and local talent as the likes of the highly-rated Split Chain, were joined by more up and coming talent including False Hope, Forager and Atheana. Three stages, three venues, a wealth of talent both raw and established across the board.
V13 sent our photographer Maryleen Photography down to Liverpool to cover all the action. Check out Maryleen’s awesome gallery of photos from another wicked No Play Festival here.
