Produced by Heather Christie, MONROE’s new single, “Weaving A New Dream,” a collaboration with singer-songwriter Jacqueline Michelle, is simultaneously deliciously dreamy and wonderfully energizing.

“This song is about sovereignty and the power we have to shape a brighter future through collaboration and creativity,” Monroe shares.

The daughter of the late Roger King, CEO of King World Productions, which produced shows like The Oprah Winfrey Show, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy!, MONROE grew up surrounded by Hollywood glitz and glamor. Determined to shift this legacy, the heart of MONROE’s music is to inspire women to claim their power, work together, and heal the world through creative energy.

MONROE made her film debut in The Little Rascals (1994) and then immersed herself in songwriting. Her first song, “Fashionista,” was featured on MTV’s The City, and she wrote a single for Disney’s Hannah Montana star Mitchell Musso. Now, as a mother and sound healer, MONROE is introducing more healing, feminine energy to humankind.

Opening on ethereal tones, “Weaving A New Dream” rolls into a creamy, swaying melody riding a syncopated rhythm as beguiling, sibylline vocals glide over shimmering harmonic textures colored with touches of jazz, pop, and R&B. Together, the complex layering conjures up suggestions of Madonna crossed with Stevie Nicks.

An absolute beauty of a track, “Weaving A New Dream” is at once dizzying and entrancing, a splendidly luxurious composition.
