The Marley Brothers opened their “Legacy Tour” at the Deer Lake Park in Burnaby, British Columbia.
In an unprecedented tour, the five Marley brothers, Ziggy, Stephen, Julian, Ky-Mani, and Damian, united their voices to perform some of their iconic father’s solo hits and the ones he did with The Wailers.
In a beautiful outdoor setting that fits 10,000 people, and for the look of the surrounding area, it was not big enough because people were trying to buy tickets outside the venue but had to resign to listen from the outside.
The brothers came to the rhythm of “Rebel Music (3 O’Clock Roadblock),” and each sang one piece of the song with the crowd singing along as if they were part of the band.
The second song they performed, “Get Up, Stand Up,” got the fans even more lively. They continued with “I Shot the Sheriff” and Ziggy then picked up his guitar.
Hit after hit kept coming, including “Buffalo Soldier,” “Three Little Birds,” “Is This Love,” and “Shalom Salam.” They performed 18 songs in total.
The brothers briefly left the stage, but with fans cheering, they soon returned. For the encore, they chose the perfect songs to close with, “Could You Be Loved” and “One Love.”
