Christos Premieres His Single of Self-Empowerment, “tear it down”
Brisbane, Australia, singer-songwriter Christos has premiered his latest single “tear it down,” a song about living life to the fullest.
As the year begins to wind down, Christos ends it off the way he started; with a lot of momentum on his side. It was this past January when we helped debut his “stranger” single. That song, taken from his all fades to dust EP, showcased his ability to effortlessly navigate between modern pop, indie, and alternative rock. The EP really helped expose Christos to a new audience and broaden his appeal. He has used this year to work hard, not only at his artistry but at the type of artist he wants to be.
Now Christos returns with his brand new single “tear it down.” Laced with his trademark energy, the song is an anthem of self-empowerment. It’s consistent with the messaging in a lot of his songs. He promotes a positive message, impressing upon listeners the importance of living life to the fullest. “tear it down” encourages you to take control of your life, only settle for your best, and operate on your own terms.
Elaborating on the song, Christos states:
“‘tear it down’ is about stepping out of your comfort zone and becoming the best version of yourself. It’s about accepting who you are, being proud of it, and grabbing life by the balls. The message behind this song from me to you is, don’t take shit from anyone, live life the way you want, stay positive, and just have fun.”
It’s been a landmark year for Christos and it really got started at the end of last year. It has really seen him evolve and develop as a live act, thanks to a few defining performances. These include a show to 2,500 fans at a Brisbane charity event for mental health awareness. It also included a sold-out EP launch for all fades to dust in Brisbane and a bigtime show at Monash University in Melbourne.
Christos wants to be regarded not only for his messaging but also for his work ethic and his whole approach to his craft. He is in the process of lining up more Australian shows ahead which will further solidify him as one of the country’s brightest young acts.
