Charlie Bereal Reveals Death Row Records Debut, “Walk With The Father”
Soul and R&B singer Charlie Beal has revealed his new single Death Row Records/gamma “Walk With The Father.”
Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist Charlie Bereal returns with his latest single, “Walk With The Father,” now available via Death Row Records/gamma. In the self-produced track, with co-production by Josef Liemberg, the LA native reflects on the harsh realities faced by those who come to the big city chasing dreams, only to find it’s not quite what they had imagined.
The release is accompanied by a visualizer perfectly capturing the smooth, retro Soul-R&B vibe, showcasing Charlie’s laid-back West Coast style as he cruises through the city in a classic lowrider.
“Walk With The Father” marks Charlie Bereal’s second release under the iconic West Coast label Death Row Records, following his debut single “Never Gonna Take Away My Love,” which dropped on July 26th and was announced through a collaborative Instagram post with Snoop Dogg and Death Row Records. While Bereal has long been a respected name in the music industry for contributing guitar melodies to classic tracks like Aaliyah’s “More Than a Woman,” Missy Elliott’s “One Minute Man,” Mýa’s “Love Is Like Whoa,” and Jamie Foxx’s “Do What It Do,” working with industry giants like Jay-Z, Ja Rule, P Diddy, Nelly, Busta Rhymes, Kanye West, Ashanti, Brandy, Mario, Tweet, and Toni Braxton, this reunion with Snoop Dogg and Death Row Records marks a pivotal moment, bringing his musical journey full circle.
Born into a musical family in California, Charlie Bereal’s journey began in the church, where he first picked up the guitar at a young age. By high school, he was already touring with Grammy-winning Gospel singer Donnie McClurkin. At just 18, he had already carved out a successful career as a producer and touring guitarist. Despite his behind-the-scenes success with numerous collaborations, Grammy nominations, and a Fender guitar partnership, Bereal felt a calling to pursue his own music, leading him to transition into a solo artist blending classic soul and gospel with a modern twist. With some already impressive streaming numbers and support, there’s much to be excited about when it comes to this multi-talented artist.
