A.M.P. – “Back For More” [Song Review]
Employing a spellbinding ebbing and rising melody with “Back For More,” A.M.P. wreaks muscular, alt-metal havoc.
A.M.P., aka A.D.A.M. Project, recently released their new single, “Back For More,” a collaboration with rock duo Aranda. “Back For More” captures the avid, competitive drive of gamers to never give up in their quest for victory.
Founded by Adam DeGraide on the premise that collaboration is one of the best ways to create music, A.M.P. features a rotating cast of vocalists and musicians, including core contributors Dameon Aranda on lead vocals and guitar solos, Gabe Aranda, Lacy Saunders, Macie Cantrell, Hartleigh Buwick, Myra Beasley, Joel Driskell, and Adam Aguilar all on lead vocals, Jay Gleason on lead guitar and Jeff Hall on drums.
The project’s sound blends ferocious riffs, hammering rhythms, and contagious hooks into music thrumming with electrifying energy.
“Back For More” travels on eerie, fluctuating synths vaguely reminiscent of Ghost, topped by breathy, ominous vocals. The guitars ramp up to heavy textures as the vocals elevate to luminous, burning timbres, imbuing the lyrics with intense resolve: “No matter how I beat you down / You’re coming back for more.”
Employing a spellbinding ebbing and rising melody, with “Back For More,” A.M.P. wreaks muscular, alt-metal havoc.
