Alex Henry Foster Premieres His Extraordinary “Cinematic Insight” Music Video
Ambient/electronic artist Alex Henry Foster has released his new music video for “Cinematic Insight” from ‘A Measure Of Shape And Sounds.’
If life has got you down and it’s stressing you out, perhaps Alex Henry Foster can help you clear your mind. Today marks the premiere of the songwriter’s brand new music video for “Cinematic Insight.” If you’ve gotten to know Foster as an artist over the years, then you’d see that he ventures off into many different musical territories.
That’s what he’s done with this song as part of his brand new ambient psychedelic instrumental LP A Measure Of Shape And Sounds. The video is a worthwhile visual accompaniment to this composition, featuring wondrous shots of life and nature. It’s a serene experience that speaks to the different moods Foster can create with his music.
Discussing his new record and the connections he has built between his recent works, Foster states:
“A Measure Of Shape And Sounds is part of an ongoing artistic project alongside (my last album) Kimiyo and my upcoming movie Voyage à la Mer. I like to see them all as being intrinsically part of the same emotional prism. Every one of them is an angle to a journey that keeps defining its unicity as we let ourselves go from control and abandon our needs for absolute. The three-dimensional aspect of that project is an appeal to our personal ability to defy our fear of the invisible and the unknown.”
V13 has been a longtime supporter of Foster over the last few years. As he indicates, A Measure Of Shapes And Sounds is part of an extensive body of work. It will culminate with the Voyage à la Mer release, which will be out in the new year. Foster is such a dynamic songwriter that you never know what to expect from him with every release.
Kimiyo features a unique blend of introspective lyrics and absorbing melodies, which obviously stands in stark contrast to A Measure Of Shapes And Sounds. But with Foster, it all ultimately makes sense. He wouldn’t be the dynamic, captivating artist he is if he weren’t able to so seamlessly change up his musical styles.
